CANCELLATION OF GRADING DAY!!!
Wednesday 29th, January 2014
Dear Churinga Saints Family
Unfortunately due to the very hot weather predicted this week and on Saturday we are going to cancel our grading day at Aquinas College. The gymnasium has no air-conditioning and for the health and safety of all players, umpires and helpers we will have to cancel due to the LYVNA and Netball Victoria guidelines produced by Sports Medicine Australia.
A copy of these guidelines can be found by clicking the following link.

Our selection team will place players in to teams based on the past teams, information from coaches, votes and other feedback. Players who have played together the previous year might find themselves with new team mates this season. This depends on numbers for each team and section.
If you did not play in Spring, there is a new grading system, therefore no team will know their section until after grading has taken place once the games start. This is a three to four week process. U9s are not graded.
In order for our club to be able to compete successfully at these graded levels, it is vital each year that we select teams based on ability. As each cohort of girls move up an age group, whole new possibilities are created for different teams each year. It is very clear that girls who are placed in a section which matches their (developing) level of ability generally enjoy success and have a lot of fun with their netball.
Training is part of your registration and is compulsory and will benefit every player as they will learn and grow as a player. Training will be at Aquinas College gymnasium on a Wednesday times are to be confirmed once teams and coaches are selected.
Your coach may be in need of players for other teams when they are short of players. Your coach might ask your daughter to play in another team to help the team that is short; this may happen from time to time. The player can only help in one team per day and can only play up two sections of their age group. Kaye Noble is the contact for help with extra players.
I look forward to another successful season ahead.
Round 1 is on Saturday 15 March, training will start two weeks prior, but still will be confirmed.
