Three Watsonia girls teams in Futsal action
Enhancing the growing presence of Junior girls squads at WHJFC, we have three all-girls (well almost) teams in action at Macleod Futsal centre.
Playing Futsal {indoor soccer} is a tremendous way to keep players’ skill level up and fitness in the summer off-season.
Generally, girls playing in these competitions get mixed in with boys but this year, we have fielded three teams. With the exception of Aaron in the Wallabies team and Shaun in the Heat team, all players are junior girls.
At the half-way mark in the competition, our under 12 team “The Wallabies” have booted 19 goals, had 2 wins and 2 draws.
Of our two under 14 teams, “the Waratahs” have slotted 32 goals, had 3 wins and 3 draws.
The other under 14 team “ The Heat” have won 1 match and kicked 10 goals.
The season recommences on January 31st, so feel free to come watch the “Watsy” girl power on Friday nights.
