At the recent AGM Scott McKenzie was elected, unopposed, as President.
Scott grew up in East Keilor, played Junior football for East Keilor and Keilor Football Clubs in the Essendon District Football League. In 1988 he played Under 19’s for Carlton and Footscray until he had a knee reconstruction. He played for Portarlington Football Club in the Bellarine Peninsula League from 1990 finishing his career in 1994 playing in their premiership side in 1992.
Scott was an Auskick Coach at Keilor Football Club in 2008 with Kylie, his wife, being Co-ordinator.
Scott and hisafamily moved to Noosa in 2008.
Scott coached his son William at Noosa in 2009, 2010 and 2011 and coached his youngest boy Rory in 2013. He also co-ordinated Noosa Auskick in 2012. Scott was awarded AFL Sunshine Coast Junior Coach of the year.
He was a junior committee member from 2009 to 2011 and has been on the club's management committee for the past two years.
With a new coach being appointed for 2014 and a new league structure, Scott would like to see all members and players supporting the change and can see a strong club on and off the ground. Scott is looking forward to the challenges ahead and thanks everyone for their support.
He would like to see the connection between Senior and Junior players continue to grow over the coming years and will encourage every Junior player to want to play Senior Football for the Noosa Football Club.
Scott is married to Kylie with three children, William 12, Hannah 10 and Rory 7
