Young gun Nathan Hendry has become the 2013 Panton Hill Seniors Best and Fairest in his first year back at the club following two years at Lower Plenty, one of those in the Under 19’s. Nathan had a terrific year on the ball but unfortunately suffered a 6 week leg injury in the last quarter of the second semi final against Watsonia which ultimately meant that he missed playing in the premiership side two weeks later. However, an enthusiastic Nathan is happy with his season and looking forward to another big year at The Hills in 2014. The 2013 vote count was extremely close with Simon Amore sneaking into second spot in the last round in his second season at the club and another youngster, Tyler Scarce who arrived this season from Greensborough held on to third spot. Interestingly, but probably not unusual all three are on-ballers. Jarrod McGough on the wing, Tristan Kreymborg in the ruck and stalwart Ben Strongman now in a comfortable roll in the backline rounded out a close top six players which demonstrated the evenness of the Panton Hill senior side this season. The final tally was as follows:
