Lions to take on Swans in NEAFL decider
The Brisbane Lions Reserves will take on the Sydney Swans Reserves in the NEAFL Grand Final to be held at Aspley’s Graham Rd Oval this Saturday September 21.
The Brisbane Lions won through to the decider with a dominant 46-point win over Aspley at Yeronga on Sunday, claiming back-to-back NEAFL Northern Conference flags in the process.
The Sydney Swans Reserves booked their place with a convincing 15-11-101 to 6-13-49 win against Belconnen in Sunday’s Eastern Conference Final.
NEAFL Grand Final day will kick off at 10:00am with the inaugural AFL Queensland Under 18 Challenge Cup between Mt Gravatt and Sandgate, both 2013 premiers in their respective divisions.
The Brisbane Lions and Sydney Swans Reserve teams will take the field for a 12:30pm start.
Entry is free and fans are encouraged to bring their own footy for some post match Kick-to-Kick.
Aspley Hornets bistro, sports bar and canteen will operate during the event.
Please note that no alcohol can be brought into the venue.
