Week 1 of the 2013 finals series has come and gone, but not before the Blues walked away from Millington Reserve with two massive victories.
COLTS
The Colts side (who finished the home & away season in 3rd position) headed up to Scarborough to take on the 2nd placed North Fremantle in the Qualifying Final and came away with a massive 62 point victory. The Blues kicked 5 goals to 1 in the opening term and were never headed, leading by 48 points at the main break and by 62 points at the final change.
The Colts boys now move on to face top of the table Scarborough in the 2nd Semi Final this Saturday, with a Grand Final spot on the line.

RESERVES
The Reserves side edged their way into 5th spot on the last day of the home & away season, and entered the finals with a bang, eliminating the 4th placed Scarborough with a comprehensive 54 point win in their Elimination Final.
Much like the Colts did earlier in the day, the Reserves jumped out of the gates with a 4 goals to 1 opening term to lead by 21 points. The Blues extended that lead to 38 points at the half, then out to 70 points at the final change.
Hadyn Sleeman and David Myors led the way up forward, kicking 5 and 4 gols respectively, while Matt Burvill, Kane Lombardo and Zach Broderick also hit the score sheet.
The Reserves will now take on Wembley in the 1st Semi Final, once again with their season on the line.
