VAFA TEAMS OF THE YEAR

Five Northern Blues players were selected into their respective team of the year announced in the Amateur Footballer yesterday.

Two players were announced in the Division 4 side, while three players were selected from the ladder leading under 19's.

Captain Dean Calcedo was picked on the wing for the senior side, along with Nicholas De Andrade who was selected in the back pocket, a position he has made his own this season.

For the under 19's, Matthew Edwards was selected as full back in his debut season at the club. Thomas Hughes was named at Ruck Rover, a due reward for his consistent performances across the whole year and Damian Della who is leading the goal kicking with just one round remaining was named at Full Forward.

Several more under 19's were unlucky not to be named in the squad after balancing games between the two teams.
