Hi Everyone, Puma U16, U18s & Seniors are all on top of the ladder
With the home & away season nearly complete the Puma Senior, U18 & U16s team all sit on top of the ladder. The Seniors have won 13 from 14 starts which is a massive improvement considering we have just won 11 games in the last 5 years. There are 2 senior home games left this season. Come down & support the boys this Saturday 10-08-13 as we get some pay back on Coolangatta.
U18s - 10am
Reserves - 12.00am
Seniors - 2.15pm
AFL Grand Final Day @ The Pumas The seniors are hosting their Best & Fairest count on AFL Grand Final Day at the clubhouse. They would like to invite the entire club along to join them & watch the Grand Final on the big screen. We are looking to organise some fun family activities during the day so lock in 28-09-13 as a day to bring the family & friends to the club. More details to follow soon!
U8s & U10s on the Gabba Well done to the U8s & U10 Pumas who played in the half time grid game & helped with the Lions guard of honor last weekend. Two junior Pumas even helped out in the channel 7 commentary box.
Presentation Night Dates We are already on the go organizing the annual Junior & Youth presentation nights.
We have to wait for all teams to finish playing finals & Sept school holidays to conclude. So we have locked in the following dates.
Juniors on Friday evening 11-10-13 & Youth will be on Saturday evening 12-10-13. Mark these dates in your diary. You will also receive your team/individual photos via your Manager on these nights.
Last Few Weeks of Juniors/Youth Well done to the U14 Navy team who have just concluded their season. With such a massive U14 group with so many new players, it has been fantastic to see such an improvement & new friendships made. U14 Gold will be playing off in the finals as will the U16s who currently sit on top of the ladder. The U12s have been the cliffhanger specialist this year. So many close results showed they could more then hold their own in the super tough & competitive Div 2 Comp. It's the U12s last game this Sunday so come & cheer on the boys at 10.30am @ home.
Its the last few weeks of games & training for U6s to U11s so keep on improving, enjoy your football & we hope to see you all back again next year. Don't forget to thank all your coaches/managers/volunteers & parents.
Volunteer Thanks A special thank you to U16 Dad Rodney Rogers who volunteered his time, staff, skills & equipment to install new front of clubhouse & scoreboard lights. Please support people who donate their time to you club. Rods company is Queensland Wiring P/L & he can be contacted on 0418 985 095. A great guy/dad who was more than happy to put his hand up to help out. Also another big thanks to U10 Dad Craig Soper & the Crew at Melec (Logo in LH Sponsors Column) for supplying the lights Rod fitted.
Pumas in the Community Thanks to the 2 Daniels from AFLQ who recently hosted a vilification session with our U16 group. We have had nothing but positive feedback. Also a big thanks to Michael & Peter from LCB Bendigo Bank who invited a team from the Pumas to help raise money for charity by racing Go Karts at Kingston Park. A great time was had with the team of a few U8, U9, U10 & U14s dads coming 5th overall.
See you all Saturday
Thanks Paul - GO PUMAS!
