FOOTBALL
Did you miss us the Bloods footy last weekend? There was pLenty of Majenta and Black action with the Ressies getting up in a thriller against Old Trinity while the Rep Boys did the club proud. For those that weren't aware, Joe Fisscher was made Vice Captain of the Ammos U/19 side who were victorious over the Country lads. Weekesy and Ridgy played in the B-D Grade game, where the country won by four points. Both were cracking games, played with intensity and spirit.
This weekend the Senior sides play AJAX while the U/19s are hosting Old Ivanhoe at Princes Park. The "ones" sit just outside the four and a win on the weekend would go a long way to securing finals action. The ladder has us just out of the four on percentage, with seven wins. AJAX are a game behind but with a better percentage.
After a week's break, the boys will be raring to go. Let's get down to Albert Park and support them in their quest. Ridgy and Mick meehan have been in scintillating form lately backed up by a defence that is as miserly as my bank manager.
The Ressies will be looking to continue their recent spate of victories. They have regrouped well and more wins are in store. The Thirds are playing on Sunday at the Lindsay Hassett Oval with the game commencing at 2pm. Again a great opportunity to support the M+Gs.
The U/19s will be playing against Old Ivanhoe at Princes Park. The boys were disappointed to lose their last game against MHSOB and will be looking to get back on the winners list.
Good Luck to all teams on the weekend.
