Dave and Beth were part of an amazing group of local people who established the junior Footy Club when they had no facilities at all. Canteens were in a tent, change rooms were at the school, no training lights or permanent scoreboards. Dave, apart from being on the Junior Committee, coached the first Under 12’s for three years, was President in 1986 & 1987. He then coached the Senior Club Thirds in 1989 and was made a Life Member 1991. Somehow he even found time to serve on the EDFL Junior Committee.
Dave also went on to be a long time Member of the Eagletonians and was Vice President in 2003 & 2004. There are some people who go along for the ride in any Club and some people make it happen. Dave was one of those. Apart from all of that he was a terrific bloke. RIP old friend.
