This year Emu Plains Glenmore Park Lions Junior AFL club will be having our first Sportsman's lunch to raise money for our club and more importantly The Ronald McDonald Family Room recently opened at Nepean hospital.
The lunch is going to be a club and charity fundraiser. We are hoping to raise over $15,000 for the Ronald McDonald Family Room located in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Nepean Hospital by having a sportsman’s lunch, raffle and charity auction.
Emu Plains Glenmore Park Lions Junior AFL Club is a non for profit Australian Rules football club which was founded in 2000. From humble beginnings with 47 players taking the field in its first year, we have grown to be a club of over 160 players and are expecting huge growth over the coming years as AFL makes it mark in Western Sydney. As our club grows we believe it is important to teach our young players the importance of community involvement. One of the aims and core values of our club is to give back to the community so we are going to be giving most of the money raised to the Ronald McDonald Nepean Family Room. The room provides a ‘home away from home’ for families with children undergoing medical treatment in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Nepean Hospital.
The day will be hosted by channel 9’s Tim Gilbert and we have been extremely lucky to have Kevin Sheedy from GWS come to be our guest speaker.

Time: 12:30 - 4pm
Cost: Tickets are $100 a head or Tables of 8 for $800
$100 includes a two course lunch beer, wine and soft drink
