It’s another week on the road. Three grades playing St George at Olds Park, and Div 4 against Moorebank at Rosedale.
This Week’s Matches
9:30am – Under 18s v St George at Olds Park
10:00am – Division Four v Moorebank at Rosedale Oval
11:30am – Division One v St George at Olds Park
2:10pm – Premier Division v St George at Olds Park
Olds Park
Olds Park is on Forest Road at Peakhurst.
If going there from Gore Hill or closer to the city, take the Harbour Tunnel. Continue along the Eastern Distributor and Southern Cross Drive; then turn onto the M5 after passing the Airport. After going through the long M5 tunnel, take the King Georges Road exit and turn left.
If coming from further north or west, take Lane Cove Road through Top Ryde which becomes Homebush Bay Drive. Pass the Olympic complex and keep going – allow plenty of time, as the traffic can get a bit heavy around Flemington Markets. Keep going straight ahead, and the road becomes King Georges Road.
From King Georges Road, after the M5 and Roselands Shopping Centre, get into the right lane. Turn right at Stoney Creek Road. Go for a couple of kilometres till the major intersection with Forest Road and turn left. Olds Park is a couple of blocks away on the left. There is parking available on site, and plenty of on-street parking if the main car park is full.
If you’re going by public transport, catch the train to Hurstville (platform 4 from Town Hall). From Hurstville, the red M91 Metrobus will take you there.
Rosedale Oval
Rosedale Oval is on the corner of National Street and Stroud Street at Warwick Farm, near the Racecourse.
Take the Harbour Tunnel, Eastern Distributor and M5. Keep going until you’ve passed the toll gates, then take the next exit onto Heathcote Road. Turn right.
Turn right at the end, at Newbridge Road. After about a kilometre, turn left onto Epsom Road. Keep going along Epsom Road until you get to Governor Macquarie Drive, and turn left.
Cross the river, and about a kilometre after the bridge is an entry to the racecourse on the right. Go straight ahead, then take the next left onto Shore Street. That street swings around to the right, becoming National Street; and Rosedale Oval is on the next corner.
If going by public transport, get the train to Warwick Farm. Exit the station on the eastern side, and walk two blocks down Munday Street till you get to Stroud Street. Turn right and it’s at the next corner.

Match Preview
Last week was an impressive display of form in many areas, particularly in the last quarter; but some inaccurate finishing prevented the Bombers from getting full reward for effort.
This week we’re taking on St George at Olds Park. It’s the first time we’ve been there for a few years; but it’s an opponent we’ve already had a big win against this season, after a big result when we switched the lights on at Gore Hill in round 2.
The Dragons have had an up-and-down season, but currently sit in fifth spot. They’ll be hungry for a win to keep them in the top five. But the Bombers are doing well in second spot, we’ve just got to keep winning and wait for our chance to climb up to top spot. The Bombers will be ready for a big effort in this match.
Ladies Day
Coming up next week at Gore Hill, on Saturday 29th June, is Ladies Day. It’s always a big event at North Shore; and this year we’ll have some more goodies and fun.
