Reserve Grade keep up their relentless charge to the finals...
After last weeks demolition of league leaders, Burleigh Heads 5-2, Reserve Grade continued to pile the pressure on Southport who currently hold 4th place on the ladder, with another superb performance beating Merrimac 6-1. MFC blew them away in the first half putting on five unanswered goals. The second half was a more even contest as the foot came off the pedal but the hard work had already been done. MFC have drawn level with Southport in 4th position but Soutport have a game in hand so there is more work to be done. With one more full round to play and given the form this team is in I would not bet against them playing finals football come August. Keep up the great work Gabe and the lads!
