This season we witnessed the very rare and significant milestone of 250 games being reached twice within a few rounds when club legends Peter Harrison and Michael Duggan notched up the major milestone earlier this season. Both these club stalwarts announced their retirements after the Reserves semi final loss last weekend.
With Peter now a dad and Michael to follow very soon we wish them all the very best as they enter the next exciting phase of their life. They now 3rd and 4th respectively on the clubs all times games played list. Who knows they might even add to those tallies with a few guest appearances in the more relaxed surrounds of the 3rds or clubbies (or even the Supers) next season and beyond. Both players were awarded Life Membership in 2012 and a summary of their achievements over a long period of service is listed below.
Peter Harrison
- 265 games. 3rd most games overall for the club
- He started as a player at DLS OC AFC in 1999
- Senior Premiership player 2003
- Joint Senior Best & Fairest winner in 2005
- Part of the Senior Leadership group that in 2005 was awarded the Presidents Trophy for outstanding service to the club
- Runner up Senior Best & Fairest 2004
- Reserves runner up Best & Fairest 2009 (joint)
- Senior Most Consistent 2001
- Has represented the VAFA at senior and U19 level
- Reserves captain for the past 4 seasons and is a two time Reserves premiership Captain (2011 and 2012)
Michael Duggan
- 258 games. 4th most games overall for the club
- He started as a player at DLS OC AFC in 1998
- Senior Premiership player 2003
- Joint Senior best & fairest winner in 2005
- Part of the Senior Leadership group that in 2005 was awarded the Presidents Trophy for outstanding service to the club
- Runner up Senior best & Fairest 2006
- Equal 3rd Best & Fairest and Most Improved 2004
- Senior Vice Captain 2005 & 2006
- Represented the VAFA at U19 level
- Reserves premiership player 2012
