Ben Strongam is one of those players that every club needs. He's been a stalwart of the club for many years, commencing in 2004 and winning numerous best and fairests as well as being captain of the club for three years. Although he spent two seasons at Lower Plenty in 2010 & 2011, winning a grand final along the way, he always said he'd return to The Hills to finish his career at the club he calls home which he did last year. The move down back this year rather than being played on the ball has given him a new lease of life with this season to date showing how important his experience is for the side. It's the 1 percenters that are critical, the second effort, the smother, the tackle that defines Ben Strongman and inspires his team mates. The club looks forward to his continued good form throughout the rest of the season including the finals which no doubt will push a determined Ben Strongman to yet another level of performance.
