Round 5 Wrap Up
Round 5 had some great results in the junior ranks.
U14 Boys lost 3-1 at home against a well drilled Yarra Jets; it was a great first half, but late goals and missed opportunities really took the game away. Nick was the lone goal scorer.
U13/14 Girls won 4-1 at home to Yarraville. The Girls are just going from strength to strength. Nillumbik was the better side all day, with exceptional passing and team work.
U13 Boys won 5-1 at home to Oak Park. Good game played in the oppositions half nearly all game. Now second on the ladder, if you believe the ladder!
Small Sided had some great games.
U8's played Whittlesea at home. What a great game, and a fitting result for two teams that played flat out attack. Scoop noticed the Boys kicking and passing with both feet. Great work!
U10's played away to Whittlesea. Scoop spoke to Coach Nick after the game. He was very pleased with the boy’s effort.The boys played a thrilling match with many goal opportunties. It was a tough match that ended in a draw. They all worked really hard and could have had a win if luck had of been of their side on the day!!
U11's played Essendon Royals at home. Difficult assignment against quality opposition, but the boys kept at it and earned praise for the run and chasing till the end.
