Satuday dawmed sunny, but with a blustery wind blowing in the south-west in the afternoon, as the Premier Division side travelled to Monarch to take on Campbelltown.
The Bombers took some time to adjust to the massive dimensions of the Campbelltown ground, and several kicks fell short of their target in the early stages. But the Bombers were clearly superior around the ground, controlling possession but not getting as much scoreboard pressure as perhaps they should.
A 9-point quarter time lead was added to, with Danny Roberts completing three first half goals; joined on the scoring list by Pat Codling and the returning Lachlan Clancy. The Bombers added three goals in the second term while holding Campbelltown scoreless, to lead by 28 points at the long break.
Two early goals to start the third quarter meant the Bombers had a handy break - which is just as well, because the Bombers then dropped their guard over the rest of the third quarter and had to ride out a Campbelltown revival; as the Blues kicked the next four goals, seeing the Bombers outscored for the quarter and the margin back to 22 points at the last change.
But the Bombers steadied during the break, and put in their best footy for the day during the final term. Jarrod Shattock had been goal-less in the first three quarters, but contributed four goals in the final term, while Danny Roberts boosted his tally to seven for the day. The Bombers ran away during the final term, seven goals to one extending the final margin to 59 points.
It wasn't a game that reached any great heights, and at times the Bombers were scrappy; but it was enough to keep the unbeaten streak intact and maintain a share of the ladder leadership.
