United will be one of hundreds of sporting clubs right across Australia turning hot pink to show their support for, and pay tribute to, women and families from their local communities affected by breast cancer.
Our Pink Sports Day will kick off at 9.am, with players wearing a touch of pink for the occasion. You can make a donation at the Bar today as well.
Funds raised through Pink Sports Day go directly to BCNA to support their work in ensuring Australians diagnosed with breast cancer are provided with the very best information, services and support possible.
Maxine Morand, BCNA CEO and breast cancer survivor, said it’s important that women all over Australia know they’re not going through this journey alone.
“Almost 15,000 Australian women are expected to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year alone. It’s important that these women who are our friends, sisters, wives, mothers and daughters know that we are there to support them,” Maxine said.
So come on down, wear some pink, and support our Pink Sports Day on Saturday 11 May when we play Balranald!
