The RMS Curra Swans came out firing early for the second week in a row, this time against the more fancied Bulldogs, a side the Swans have beaten only once in many years.
Wayward kicking from the Swans kept the Bulldogs in the game with 10 scoring shots to 4.
The 3 goal break proved to be pivotal however as for the remainder of the game both sides scored 8 goals.
The last quarter was a memorable one for all the right reasons. The lead was 22 points at the last break and the Bulldogs were not expected to give in with out a fight. The Swans ball control, decision making and effort in the final quarter was great and they hung in for a well deserved win by 19 points.
Another solid game from Corey Murphy gave him the best player award and he was well supported by 21 others including Sam Raumer, Jae Ruzzier, Nathan Wescombe and Playing Coach, Adam McDonald
Great efforts also from young James Bennett and veteran Leo Lahey who due to late withdrawals were called upon to back up from the Reserve grade match.
