Round 1 Wrap Up
What a start to the season for Nillumbik Juniors !
With all our Junior Teams winning their games.
U14 Boys won 2-1 away against Essendon Royals with a late strike from Nick after a superb effort from Tom to gain possession and set up. Our mail is Coach Chris would have been happy with a draw, but he forgot to tell Henry, Max and Nick who took every opportunity to the end.
U13/14 Girls won 11-1 at home to Whittlesea, with 6 girls opening their accounts. Solid team work was the highlight in this performance. Niamh scored 4 goals and put plenty of balls into the box.
U13 Boys won 8 - 2 at home to East Kew. Adrian scored a hat trick , and Peter wants a rain check for his two (Sorry Peter the third was touched!). Great game.
Small Sided had plenty of action to.
U8's played like a team of veterans against Greenvale! Great to see the team work and sharing. Interviewed after the game, Donald said it was 'Great Fun'.
U10's Had a real test against much bigger opponents in Lalor United. This was quality opposition and the boys gave their best.
U11's Coach Steve is claiming Julian's great set piece goal was 'from a training drill'. It really summed up a great team performance, with Alfie and Shaun displaying great flare and skills.
