BROTHERS IN ARMS
With the arrival of Darcy Shore to Silvan, It got me thinking of the extraordinary amount of brothers we have playing together at Silvan. Here's a list,
1. Sean & Daniel Toohey (1st, Dan & 2nd Sean in the 2012 B&F) Sons of the great Father Toosa. Quality DNA there!
2. Kane & Darcy Shore, Sons of YVMDFL legend, Mick, are probably looking to become the most talented combo at Silvan! Darcy is also running better hair than Kane!
3. Cameron & Adrian Cannata, played in excess of 300 games between them, down side? They both support Carlton!
4. David & Cameron Noy, AKA Half Noise, David & Full Noise, Cameron. There's about a 8 inch difference in height, hence the nickname!
5. Johnny & Micheal Bonnano, identical Twins who play in the 19s. Sons of Silvan madman Joey. As they are almost impossible to tell apart, they are both called MickyJohnny to avoid confusion!
6. Scott & Blake Steghauis, (surfer dudes, chicks dig em!) Sons of life member & dual B&F winner Darren (Daisy)
7. Ben & Jake Straughair, sons of all round good bloke, Daryl. Benny senior VC & Jake a dual premiership player make a pretty formidable combo, both go hard at club functions! Hey Benny?
8. Brent & Aaron Francis, both play 19s, Brent,19 and stands at 6ft 8, and Aaron, 18 and stands at 6ft 6, are by far the tallest set of brothers in the world! It's pretty much land of the giants when they rock up to training!
9. Damian & Jarrod Nelson, sons of great bloke Russell. Damo who has just moved up to the seniors this year, loves to dance! Jarrod has one more year in the 19s is not into dancing at all! (amazing)
10. Shane & Jarrod Rowe, Jughead & The Pry, Sons of Silvan Coach of the Century Greg,(Titch). Jug rolls around in the 2s and has played 200 + games. While The Pry plays CHB in the seniors. Both enjoy a good footy trip very very much, they want Phuket this year!
11. Anthony & Andrew Fonti, sons of ripper bloke Ang. Both small, both quick & both know where the goals are. And there's a third brother, Luke who plays at St Simons who will surely join his brothers next year.
12. Adam & Grant Newing, ok they're cousins, but they talk exactly the same and share the same mannerisms. Although Adam is slightly more "out there" & "fruity" than the level headed Grant, both are gun footballers as well great blokes!
