Saturday sees our first home game for the season, and the switching on of the Gore Hill lights. It’s an occasion not to be missed.
The project to turn the lights on has been several years in the making, but they have finally been installed and we will be playing our first game under lights tomorrow. We are grateful to the AFL, Willoughby Council and local MP Gladys Berejiklian for their assistance in making the lighting project happen.
During the first half of the Premier Division game, the lights will turn on; and by the second half, as the sun sets, the ground will radiate in its floodlit glory.
This Week’s Matches
10:00am – Division Four v Manly
12:00pm – Under 18s v St George
2:00pm – Division One v St George
4:10pm – Premier Division v St George
The canteen and barbeque will be open all day, with a selection of hot & cold food, snacks and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic) to quench the hunger and thirst of the footy faithful. Proceeds go to the club.
As always, if you are able to help out with running the canteen or BBQ on the day, your support would be muchly appreciated. Please report to Liz Fitzgerald on game day. Many hands make light work!

Match Preview
We’ve had some epic battles with St George over the years, none more so than our last premiership win in 2007. The Dragons always give us a good contest.
After an epic win against Pennant Hills last week, our Bombers are in good form and ready to take on the Dragons. The Dragons went down narrowly to defending premiers UNSW-ES last week, they’ll be desperate to not be on 2 losses; so our Bombers will need to be at their best.
We took the points in both our clashes with St George last season, and will be keen to do so again this time.

After the game, all players, coaches and supporters are invited to a short post-match presentation in the clubhouse. Hear from our coaches with their thoughts on the game, and the best players for each of the games will be named.
