Leigh Bowes has been appointed as the coach of the Noosa Tigers Under 18s for season 2013.
Probably best know for his role as President at Noosa, Leigh has been involved in footy for years; playing with the Hawthorn Football club in the Under 19s in 1981 and 1982 and in their Reserves in 1983. Between 1994 and 1999 Leigh was the Under 19s coach at Old Brighton Gramarians Football Club taking his boys to the premiersip in 1998.
It is Leighs' intention to seamlessly combine his new role with his current roles of President and Under 15 girls team coach. When questioned about the additional commitment Leigh gave a laugh and said, "At the moment I work from 3 until 6 and then do Noosa Tigers footy stuff. When I say 3 to 6 I mean 3am until 6am. I will have no trouble fitting it in."
Leigh intends to bring unity to the senior group. In his words "I have an old head with fresh legs". Maybe that should be the other way around?
