Check out the Roos featuring in week two of our 2013 Player Profiles.
Kicking off day one is Nigel Baker.
Nige is one of the more mature heads at the Roos this season. With a team full of young blokes he brings a lot of experience and strength to our team in 2013.
With a full preseason under his belt, he is fitter and stronger than ever. This along with a huge improvement in his disposal should see Nige hold down a key backline position this season.
His personality and willingness to continue to work hard and improve make Nige a very important part of the Roos family, as someone our young team can look up to and model themselves on.
We cant wait to see Nige using his strength and ability to read the ball to shut down opposition key forwards, then using his leg speed to run the ball out of our back line turning defense into attack.

Kicking off Tuesday is Michael D'Arcy...
One of the Roos biggest signings of 2013, A local boy who has recently come back to to coast from a few years playing in Cairns.
Darcy is a big tall lad with beautiful hands and mobility around the ground. He will find himself as one of our key targets up forward this season.
We are very happy to have D'arcy at our club and look to him as a vital part of our unite, as we push towards a big things in 2013.

Third profile of the week is Greg Stirton
Stirto has been around the club for many years, one of the true spiritual leaders of the club.
Stirto looks to be in career best shape this preseason, looking very fit and strong we have big hopes for him.
Arguably the hardest worker on the track, Stirto has prepared himself this preseason ready to shut down the best forwards in the competition.
With his continued improvement on all aspects of his game, Stirto is a great role model for our younger players and we have no doubt 2013 will be a huge year for him.

Thursday sees the young ruckman Jed Turner step up to the player profile plate.
Jedda had a massive first season as a Roo in 2012 as arguably the best Ruckman in the competition, he was named in the league team of the year for his efforts.
Jed is a man mountain, not only is he tall and strong but he has the ability to move around the ground like blokes half his size.
Add to that his jumping and marking ability Jedda is one rare talent that seems to show no end to its possibilities.
Getting his hand on the ball first is a huge advantage and we hope in 2013 our midfield can capitalise on this.
Jedda is also one of the spiritual leaders of the club, his bubbly personality and bright outlook on life are a pleassure to have around the change rooms.
Also some of the dumb comments he makes due to having been diagnosed with 'Dumb tall man syndrome' are always a laugh.
We look forward to seeing Jed tear up the Allied Pickford Cup in 2013- check out his profile: https://websites.mygameday.app/club_info.cgi?client=1-109-34763-0-0&sID=271525&&news_task=DETAIL&articleID=22596962
