WHFC Pre-Season Grass Roots Football Program

The WHFC grass roots program is designed to develop the foundation football skills in young players, providing each player with solid basic skills which can be built upon as they grow older.

Skills that the players will be learning are:

  • Kicking techniques
  • Controlling techniques
  • Shooting techniques
  • Heading techniques
  • The throw in
  • Combination passing
  • Keeper introduction

Each session will start with a warm up followed by four separate skill drills which will be progressed in complexity through the program and finished off with a small game of 3v3, giving each player plenty of opportunity for touches on the ball in a game situation.
Each participant in the grass roots program will receive a participation certificate at the end of the program.

Coach Ratio: One Coach to every Six Players

Program Cost: $80
Registrations Close: 31st March 2013
Program Start Date: Wednesday 3rd April - 6:30pm-7:30pm
