Club Stalwart Mitch Ede will return to the coaching ranks as Wyong Lakes look to improve on their third place result in last years First Division competition.
Ede, who previously coached the Magpies in 2010, is looking forward to the season with plenty of optimism following an encouraging pre-season.
"Training numbers have been good with the most promising sign being the number of 18 and 19 year olds who have returned to the club" the 26 year old said.
"Not having an Under 18's team last year saw these players not play last year, but to see them back at the club, and training well is good for the club" he added.
Another bonus for the club is the return of former Best & Fairest winner Tim Hillman whilst Lachlan Ratford has joined the club from Broadbeach.
Off field the club is working hard with Ken Clouten taking over the reins as President and he leads a new committee, keen on seeing the Magpies continue to grow.
Wyong Lakes are training each Tuesday and Thursday nights at Don Small Oval commencing at 6pm.
The club has also entered a side in the Tablelands Cup Pre-season carnival which is being held at Armidale on 23 March 2013.
