The Umpires Association is pleased to announce that as of Monday 4 February 2013 training will start at a new venue in Morisset. The venue is Gibson Oval, Awaba Street at Morisset.
“It’s exciting that we are able to finally have found a ground in a preferred location like Morisset”, said NCCUA President Darrel Luck.
“When trying to find a training ground for Umpires around five years ago there were no grounds with facilities suitable for Umpiring at Morisset,” said Luck.
“Now umpiring in the region turns a new page. Not only do we have a new ground, we also have a new coach with Christine Burrows taking up her appointment as BDAFL Umpires Coach. Combine that with the soon to be released final report from the Umpiring Review and we are extremely excited about where umpiring in the region is heading and what the future holds for umpiring.”
Entry to the car park at Gibson Oval ground is off Bridge Street and training will commence at the same time, 5.45pm sharp. All are welcome to come along, join in and try umpiring.
