An Open Letter to Members and Friends of the NNWUF&N Club
Dear Friends,
At the end of October the club held its annual general meeting at which was showcased the current financial status of the club and included reports from each of the disciplines associated within Nyah Nyah West United.
For over 30 years the Nyah Nyah West United club has had a long and proud history. Our committee members and volunteers continue to support the club by giving generously of their time and skills. The Club continues to support and nurture our members, their families and friends and encourage participation in sport. As a result we average approximately 175 playing members each year.
Many of the members would realise that the battle to raise funds in any club is becoming harder each year. Although striving to improve budgets, control unnecessary spending and to actively source funding such as grants the Club income is not on an upward curve.
We are confident that we can turn this around, the committee is committed to providing a first rate club, our facilities are amongst the best in this league. Our players and supporters though remain our greatest asset. We need each of you to step up and help out.
I encourage you to get involved, be informed and help make our Club the best that it can be. From time to time we seek volunteers for varied events, some on game day or for outside activities such as catering in the local community. We can no longer say “I pay my money at the gate and that’s enough”. Please consider the benefits that you get from being involved in this Club, consider the opportunity to grow friendships and the greatest benefit of all in ensuring its future success in our community.
As Chairman I urge you to support the Club and if you have concerns or issues you would like clarified, please contact me personally.
Yours in sport.
Rod Duffy
Chairman
