The Maroochy Roos are pleased to announce the re-sgning of talented tasmanian duo Jarrad 'Jack' Gale and Jared 'Taz' Clarke for the 2013 season.
Both players hail from Ulverstone on the apple isle however have had different paths towards the Maroochy Roos.
Taz, a full forward with strong hands wiuth an incredibly accurate right boot, arrived many seasons ago as a fresh faced under 18 player that burst into a senior side bristling with talent. Despite his youth, he put together a number of strong games before heading north to Mackay for a couple of seasons where he developed into his club's key full forward.
He returned to the Roos two seasons ago, taking out the Roos goalkicking award for both those seasons.
Gale, a hard-bodied midfielder blessed with with height & strong hands that allow him to play almost any position on the ground, arrived at Maroochydore two seasons ago with a big reputation and quickly developed into one of the best players in the competition.
Despite the developing Roos winning just two games for the 2011 season, Gale finished third in the League Medal (Duncanson-Todd Medal) and was named ruck-rover in the League's Team of the Year.
In club awards, he finished runners up in the 2011 best and fairest behind Kane Tyson before storming home to take out the 2012 Club award.
The Roos are thrilled to have both Taz & Jack back on board under new coach Brett Maloney and look forward to the season ahead.
