GRANT McCARTHY
Has been playing football with Vermont since 1996 – 17 years
He started in U 13's in 1997. Won club B & F in under 14's and U15's. Played in premiership side in under 16's. Played in EFL rep sides in U14's and U15's captaining the U15's
Played under 18's in 2001 & 2002. Premiership in 2001. Runner up B & F 2001. Played senior and reserves footy second half of 2002.
In the Senior Club he has played for 10 years and 181 games and 4 Senior Premierships.
He has been an outstanding player and Club person, attending pretty well everything the Club puts on. He is loyal, trustworthy and a star on and off the field.
MATTHEW GREIG
Matt has completed 10 years outstanding service to the Club and senior team.
He has played 162 games, kicked a Club record 696 goals and played in four Senior Premierships.
He has kicked 100 goals on three occasions :- 2006, 2007 & 2008 and won the Club leading goalkicker eight times and the EFL First Div Award a record 5 times.
He is without a doubt the best full forward and most exciting player the Club and the EFL has ever seen. He is player who has been eagerly sought by many other Clubs over the years and yet he has remained loyal to Vermont.
BEN BARKER
Ben has been a highly skilled and dedicated trainer at our Club for 13 years.
He started in 1999 with the under 16’s and was with them again in 2000 whilst also doing Under 18 & Reserves games. He was with the seniors in 2001 which of course was a Premiership year and has been with us ever since, except for one year off.
Apart from being a sensational trainer, his dedication to Vermont and to the players is exceptional.
He is a very worthy Life Member.
