Young gun Nathan Hendry will be returning to Panton Hill in 2013. Nathan has committed to returning to Panton Hill where he started his footy career in 2010 as an eighteen year old. Nathan joined The Hills to stay fit and play footy with his brother Jason after playing basketball for a majority of his teenage years. Despite not having played football before, Nathan was enthusiatic, energetic and athletic. His first three games of football were with the Reserves and his natural talent meant that he dominated and was nominated best on ground in all three games. He was quickly promoted to the seniors where he played the final 3 games of the season. In 2011 Nathan dropped back to Under 19 football to learn more about the game and with the support of The Redbacks was steered to Lower Plenty where former Panton Hill senior coach Garry Ramsay supported his progress. After a successful 2011 and significant improvement, Nathan played the 2012 season in the seniors finishing with 16 senior games and being named in the best on many occasions. This is a great achievement at a first division club at such a young age and only limited football experience.
Nathan is excited to be returning to the club that gave him his start in footy and will bring some further youthful enthusiasm to the senior side. Welcome back Nathan.
