As a Club we had set our sights in 2012 on regaining on field respect of the football comunity. To that end, we achieved that and more which was a credit to Senior Coach Kris Barlow, his support staff and players. The Senior Grand final did not go our way from the first few minutes when full forward Jarrod Dalton went down with a bad knee injury. Later on when we were mounting a last quarter challenge, we lost another tall forward Tom Carmody with a badly broken leg. When you add the broken collar bone to Reserves player Andrew Pretto, it was a very busy day for our fabulous medical staff.
The highlight of the year was the performance of so many of our youngsters and were thrilled to have three of our Under 19 players in the Senior Grand Final : Lachie Johns, Shane Davidson and Nick Mendes.
Well done to Reserves Coach Jeff Rudd for a sensational year. His work with our youngsters played a major part in the senior successes. To have his side complete an undefeated year was a fantastic achievement.
The Eagles are back in town !!
