After nine seasons of junior football, the Redbacks Water Boy, Jackson Mill plays in his first Grand Final this Sunday. Only his 3rd finals appearance for the Research Under 16’s. Jackson first played as a six year old in the re-formed Under 10’s back in 2004. He continued to play with the Redbacks up to Under 13’s before heading to Research in 2010 due to lack of numbers at Panton Hill. With the Redbacks not appearing in Finals during his days, his only two finals appearances (including the previous weeks semi final win) have been with Research. He has typically played as a Forward and Wingman in the past, but has carved out a niche for himself at Full Back this year. We wish him and his Research team mates all the best for this Sunday and hopefully they can bring home a Premiership flag. The game is being played at the Hurstbridge Football ground at 3pm on Sunday for anyone who wants to come down and support him.
