SENIORS
The conditions were surprisingly good for the Round 17 clash between Panton Hill and St Marys at Greensborough. The Burra had the early running but The Hills hit back with a goal to Joffa Byron early but he also missed a few goals in the first quarter that he would normally get. The second quarter started even but Benn Parker started picking up plenty of possesions through the middle and Daniel Keen did the hard work across half forward including a fantastic long set shot. The third quarter belonged to Joffa Byron as he hit the goals to set up his final tally of 9 goals for the day. Once again The Burra were never knocked out of the game but The Hills did enough to get themselves over the line by 31 points. Benn Parker was terrific in yet another best on ground performance and Rob Guest was the quiet achiever across half back. Anthony Bryce continued to impress and Nathan Brundell did what was needed down back.
RESERVES
The Panton Hill Reserves have finally been able to put a better quality team onto the ground and were able to dominate right from the start to get a very good win against second placed St Mary's. The win ensures a top four finish and a finals berth come seasons end for the Redbacks. Dylan Collins was very strong up forward, marking plenty of the footy and Andrew Jackson worked hard in the ruck. Other key performers included Jack Le Gassick and Andrew Boyle down back and Brett Aldred and Matt Layt in the midlle of the ground.
