The Panton Hill Football Club will be hosting the CFA Cup on Saturday 11 August 2012 which features a match involving the Panton Hill and St Andrews Primary School at half time of the senior game. This is a Special day which embraces the community and recognises the important role of the CFA. This year there will also be an increased focus on being fire ready in rural areas around Panton Hill and St Andrews.
The CFA Cup will include various activities throughout the day to promote the need to be prepared for bushfires and is being facilitated with support from the Department of Planning and Community Development “Fire Ready Communities” program. The feature football match between St Andrews and Panton Hill Primary School will be at half time of the senior game on the day at Cracknell Reserve when Panton Hill will be playing Watsonia. There will be an afternoon tea at 2:00pm for parents of the participants in the CFA Cup game at 3:00pm as well as CFA volunteers to answer questions.
The Club looks forward to seeing a huge turnout on the day. The club will not be charging entry to the game but will be seeking a gold coin donation to the local CFAs at the gate
