THE Ovens and King Football Netball League grand final will remain at the WJ Findlay Oval this year after the board decided against a return to the redeveloped Wangaratta Showgrounds.
The league's showpiece game was shifted from the Wangaratta Showgrounds in 2011 due to the construction of the Wangaratta Sports Development Centre and the installation of AFL quality lighting.
It was expected, however, that the Ovens and King grand final, to be played on Saturday, September 15, would return to showgrounds this season but the success of the 2011 decider saw the league keen to remain at the WJ Findlay Oval.
