FOR a team which has only lost two games in the first 13 rounds of the Ovens and King netball season, Greta has made a habit of going quietly about its business on the court.
While red-hot premiership favorite Milawa continues to be the talk of the competition as it remains unbeaten, the Blues are sitting quietly in second position with 11 wins.
Coach Jodie Ramage is delighted with the way things are going for the Blues and knows she had a special group at her disposal.
"We have a really good bunch of girls," she said.
"You could say we have a strong and consistent team.
"We had a few hiccups early but that was through injury and illness and now we're starting to hit our straps."
That last comment would seem somewhat of an understatement from Ramage with the Blues currently enjoying an eight-game winning streak.
Not since consecutive losses to Milawa and Whorouly in early May have the Blues tasted defeat and Ramage puts that down to not having to change the side too much.
"We try to keep the same girls together," she said.
"Obviously we are constantly working on our strategies and combinations but it helps having the same side most weeks."
The Blues will face one of its bigger tests of the season tomorrow when it meets fellow top four side Moyhu.
In the opening round of the season, the Blues handed Moyhu a 25-goal defeat, however, Ramage knows both sides will be different this time and isn't taking the Hoppers lightly.
"We always enjoy playing Moyhu," she said.
"It's always an interesting game when we play them.
"It doesn't matter who we play, we are always a bit cautious.
"The girls just do what needs to be done so we won't be taking Moyhu lightly."
Meanwhile, in other matches, North Wangaratta hosts King Valley, Tatong travels to Tarrawingee, Goorambat and Swanpool meet, Milawa should account for Bonnie Doon, Whorouly plays Bright and Benalla will do battle with Glenrowan.
