Huntly receives Grant from the Bendigo Northern District Community Enterprise

The Bendigo Northern District Community Enterprise is a partnership with Bendigo Bank and Bendigo Community Telco which has been established and will be directed and managed by community minded people to assist the residents of Bendigo’s northern districts.

The Huntly Football Netball club have been lucky to receive a number of grants from the community enterprise. In 2011 for a defibrillator valued at over $2,000 and this year $700 towards a new refridgerator.

Secretary of the Huntly Football Netball Club, Fay Linford was recently presented with the cheque by Chairman of the Bendigo Norhtern District Community Enterprise, Mike Lowther.

The Community enterprise were also responsible for the funds to build the new playground at Strauch Reserve, something that all the local children will surely appreciate.
