We hit the road today and meet Swan Hill. Good luck to all the teams today, some mixed results last week in both netball and football. We are at the pointy end of the season now and every game counts if we want to reach finals.
Tonight its the Las Vega themed ball at the Italian Social Club. Should be a ripper night and a lot of fun for all involved. Get your tickets from Danni and Caellie.
Well done to the kids who represented the club at the Junior Carnival last Sunday, a very cold and wet day. A special mention to DJ White, we all know him as a legend at our club, but we all got to see him in the EJ Whitton game last Tuesday night. Great effort 3 games in 8 days when your just “29 with 10 years extra experience”.
Under 11’s had another enthusiastic game last week. Great to see such passion and drive in a game. Crowd was a bit disappointing around all grades the juniors, lets all make the effort to get out of the car and show the kids we are there to support them today. Under 13’s are sitting 7th on the ladder and little goal sneak Frank Violi is 5th in the CMFNL goal kickers with 22. Well done Frankie, few more today will boost you up the list. Best last week for the 13’s were Dom Violi, Shane Foley, Zane Saville, Lauchy collier and Sam Miliano. Goals went to Frank (5), L Caccaviello, S Miliano, B Davey, B Daniels, J Caccaviello and Z Saville. Good luck boys. Under 15s are currently 5th on the ladder. Better players last week were D Collier, R Burge, J borchard, H Wood, B Vernon and L Hoare. Goals went to B Daniels (2), J Walters (2) and R Burge. Good luck to all the kids in the Junior footy today. Well done to the boys in the BBQ van last week as well. It was one of the busier mornings for the boys, what a great effort they are doing.
Hey 16 kids if we are lucky in the Colts each week and they are smoken, sitting 3rd on the ladder and really starting to hit their straps. Zac Cacca is leading the Goal kicking with a lazy 53, thats an average of 5.89 a game. So we will expect at least 10 from you today Zac. Best players last week were J Manning, R Milne, A Manning, Z Caccaviello (8 goals), R Burge and A Miliano. Great effort boys last week but don’t give Swan Hill an inch today.
Ressies are 10th on the ladder and really need to get some end of season action going if they want to make finals. More training means less straining. Ant Mckee came back from the seniors and was by far the best on ground for the boys. Brodie Pitts played his best game for the year so far. Andrew Flanagan, Shane Fleming and Tom Vernon all put in solid games as well. Focus today guys, we can win it.
Seniors were disappointing last week. The home game curse has struck again, with injuries and absence taking vital players out. Hopefully this week we will be back to full strength and should see some major improvement. If we get it together we can win against any team going around this season. Best on ground was Cal Dobbin, S Rioli, M Skinner, B Cadd and DJ White. Great to see that 3 of the best are locals as well. We are sitting 8th on percentage and need to win at least 9 games to make finals. Darryl is currently 6th on the goal kickers list with 36 , but we need that to be a lot higher by the end of today please. Go hard boys and bring home a big win.
A grade were big winners last week with 42 to 32 at the final bell. Great effort by Louisa Curran and Danielle Pretty. Thanks also to Bianca and Lauren. A grade is currently sitting 8th on the ladder. B Grade won 44 to 34 and Kayla Brackly was best on. Thanks to Kayla Mannix as well. The B Graders are sitting 6th so should see some final action if they can keep up the wins. B Res are sitting 2nd on the ladder and had a great win last week. Jenny Kelly was best on for her team. Under 17s are sitting 10th on the ladder and need some big wins to boost them up a few rungs. Best player last week was Sam Forster. The Under 15’s are only second on percentage. They have been travelling well this season and had another win last week by 14 goals. Mel Maher and Molly Henson were best on court for their team. Under 15’s Res had a really close game and unfortunately went down by 1 goal. Great effort by the girls though. Kellie Richardson and Willow Coburn were better players last week. They are sitting 6th on the ladder. Under 13’s had a good game but missed out be just a few goals. Nichola Miliano was best on. They are currently sitting 9th. Under 13 res had a tough one last week , which left them 8th on the ladder. It was Mietta Kelly and Jamie Burge who were best on for their team.
Good luck today demons. Have a great game.
