It’s an away weekend, with the Bombers split far and wide over three venues on Saturday. The seniors and Under 18s are at different grounds within the Sydney Uni campus, while Div 1 and Div 4 travel west to Gipps Road to take on Holroyd-Parramatta.
This Week’s Matches
12:00pm – Under 18s v Sydney University at St Pauls Oval
12:30pm – Division Four v Holroyd-Parramatta at Gipps Road Oval
2:30pm – Division One v Holroyd-Parramatta at Gipps Road Oval

Sydney University
Sydney University is on Broadway, a couple of kilometres west of Central Station.
To get there, go across the Harbour Bridge and onto the Western Distributor. Take the Pyrmont Bridge Road exit to Glebe, turn left. Go past Wentworth Park, the road swings to the left and then to the right. Turn left at Ross St. This continues straight ahead into the university campus at Broadway.
Paid parking is available within the uni campus. Check the signs carefully. Free parking is available on the street at Broadway, the bus lane doesn’t apply on weekends – if you don’t want to pay for parking, then turn right at Broadway and park on the street.
Entering the campus at the entrance opposite Ross St, the first oval you will see is the Number 2 oval. The main Number 1 oval is behind that, with the big grandstand. This is the Premier Division venue.
St Pauls Oval is on the other side of the campus closer to City Road. From the Number 1 Oval, follow McLeod Road, or if walking you can cut across from Western Ave through the residential college. The college backs onto City Road, but on-street parking is metered there.
To get there by public transport, catch the train to Central; and numerous buses will take you from Railway Square to the campus.
Gipps Road Oval
Gipps Road Oval is on Gipps Road at Greystanes.
To get there, travel west and get onto the M4. Take the Cumberland Highway exit, head south then turn right into Old Prospect Road.
Keep going straight ahead to Pemulwuy Marketplace, then left into Greystanes Road. This becomes Gipps Road, and after crossing the T-Way bus road the sporting complex will become visible on the right. There is plenty of parking on site.
To get there by public transport, catch the train to Parramatta then the Sydney Buses T80 bus will take you there.

Our Opponents
There’s no love lost between North Shore and Sydney Uni, and this is sure to be another firey clash. Our Premier Division team will be keen to bounce back after their shock 1-point loss to UTS last week, while Sydney Uni will be desperate for a win to get off the bottom of the ladder. When the Bombers played Sydney Uni at Gore Hill earlier in the season, the Bombers enjoyed a 94-point win; the Students will be out for revenge, so the Bombers will need to put in another strong performance to take the points this time.

North Shore Player Review
We’ve seen the talent of our players on the football field, but how talented are they on the stage? Are there any players for whom the lure of showbiz beckons?
The North Shore Player Review sees our players take the stage, with displays of drama, song and dance. It’s a fun night not to be missed. It will be held at the clubhouse at Gore Hill on Saturday 28th July, beginning at 7pm. More information to come shortly.
