The Lismore Swans have defeated the Ballina Bombers by 12 points to keep their finals hopes alive. After a tight first term the Swans were able to take advantage of the Bombers inaccuracy in front of goal to lead by 7 points at the main break. Lismore took charge of the game in the third term keeping Ballina goalless while kicking 2 of their own. Ballina came charging back in the final term however the Swans were able to hold on to win by 12 points.
Best on the day were Rhys Lavery, Dean Webb, Tom Merrett, Steve Smith, Andy James, and Shaun Wadwell.
Dean Webb kicked 4 for the day, Wesley Seewald kicked 3, while solitary goals were kicked by Daren Moncrieff, Tom Merrett and Stephen Huckerby.
The Swans shared the ball around and it was excellent to see that the contribution was distributed between the squad. The Swans have now back in the four will look forward to a big challenge next weekends long road trip to Carrara in the all important match.
