The Round 10 AFL Sydney Rising Star nominee is Paul Green of Campbelltown.
His nomination reads as follows:
Green is in his first year of senior football having played in the clubs Under 18’s Challenge Cup Premiership team in 2011 and progressing from the Camden Junior Club. Being just 17 years of age Green is still eligible to play in the Under 18’s competition.
Green has made the jump to senior football with great aplomb and after just eight games has stamped himself as a player of the future.
Despite being small in stature, Green has became a prolific ball winner either in the midfield or across half back.
Green’s impressive start to the year saw him rewarded with selection in the AFL Sydney Development Representative team which defeated the Farrer FNL on Saturday. Green was able to back up from this performance two days later to kick two goals in Campbelltown’s first win of the season on Monday.
Campbelltown have high hopes that Paul will be a pivotal midfielder for years to come.
