Footy was a long time coming after having 21 days without a game. Unfortunately that break really showed in the senior game with the boys going down by a fair margin. James Beha continued his dominance this season with another BOG while it was great to have Stevo back in the maroon jumper.
The Reserves managed to get the chocolates in a hard fought contest. Tataz was again magnificent while it was Rowan Sproule who did the work up forward bagging 6 goals. Andrew Dear back for the mid year break also played a good game of footy and finished with 4.
The Thirds had an interesting day, jumping out to a reasonable lead at the first change only to watch it slowly disappear as the day went on. The lads ended up holding on for a one point victory. Skinny Beha was good all around the ground, plugging holes as required.
The netballers had mixed fortunes on the day with Sam Beha again the dominant player of the round.
Great to finally have another home game after more than a month away from the venue. Big round of matches this weekend against Lucknow. Don't forget after the game and awards there will be dinner and live music by Who's Throwing Coasters?! The boys are taking care of the meal tonight, so ladies, come in, sit down, grab a drink and enjoy the evening. Bring the whole family!
Ball tickets are also available. Ask any of the Committee members for more information.
Go Seagulls!
