A successful Mega Charity Day was held last Saturday with the Newcastle City Junior and Senior Clubs involved in matches throughout the day and night from Under 10s through to senior first grade. As well as the footy, the Megamania jumping castle and bungie rides were a hit as well as face painting.
Raffles were held to raise money for the Cancer Council and Starlight Childrens' Foundation. The Senior and Junior clubs will also donate a percentage of gate and canteen proceeds towards the charities. Total raised from the raffles, guessing comp and face painting was $270.
Jen Hope did a great job organising the day and was well supported by many helpers. Beryl Hope, Deedy and Su Hinton with selling raffle tickets and big sessions in the canteen by Deb, Katrina, Vicki and Leo, Helen Humphries to name a few. A BIG thanks to everyone who contributed.
