HFC 2012 Record R7 Report
The Colts travelled to Skye for a 34 point defeat. Best were Peter Lambrinos, Jordan Pastura, Jordan Tabakman, Daniel Greg-Mantle, Pierce Trainor and Ethan Smith, while the goals came in singles only, from Sam Mason, Eden Marson, Arran Gribben, Jordan Tabakman and Jesse Waters. Thanks to Debbie for filling in as team manager.
The three sides at home in Highett had very diverse results this week with the Thirds only playing a hit out game, after Endeavour Hills forfeited with only nine available players. The league made a ruling which resulted in Highett Thirds remaining in fourth place. Against East Brighton, the Reserves’ had its best win of the season, while the Seniors had one of its severest losses. The Senior Doggies were undermanned with players missing due to injury and illness, and the team losing another couple during the match did not help. It just brought home the level required to defeat the flag favourites. Let’s hope we are better prepared for the return match later in the season.
Thanks to the many East Brighton and Highett players and supporters that stayed around after the game to make a happy sociable atmosphere to end the day. This week is International Beer & Pizza night, so bring your friends and families to share this experience.
Thanks to Sponsors LMCLasers & Bendigo Bank.
