Bruce Purser Reserve
Bruce Purser Reserve is at the corner of Withers and Commercial Roads at Rouse Hill.
To get there, travel north-west along the M2, and exit at Abbott Road, where the M7 starts. Turn right into Old Windsor Rd.
Go straight ahead past NorWest Business Park and past the Windsor Rd turnoff. About a kilometre past Windsor Rd, the Rouse Hill Town Centre shops will be visible on the right. Get in the right lane and go straight ahead past White Hart Drive and Rouse Hill Drive. Take the next right onto Commercial Road, turning at the Mean Fiddler.
Go straight ahead for about a kilometre, going through parkland. Bruce Purser is at the next corner on the right. Turn right into Withers Rd and enter the car park on the right. There is a car park on site, and the school next door will be open for overflow parking.
To get there by public transport, get the bus to Lane Cove bus interchange. Change for the 610 bus, and get off at Rouse Hill High School, next door to the oval. If you’re going from the city, the 610X bus will get you there via the Gore Hill Freeway and the Lane Cove Tunnel. Note that the bus only runs every hour on weekends, refer to the Hillsbus website or www.131500.com.au for timetable details.
Village Green
Village Green is at the campus of the University of New South Wales, on Anzac Parade at Kensington.
Get onto the Warringah Expressway, take the Harbour Tunnel and Eastern Distributor and take the Randwick exit. Go straight ahead on Anzac Parade past the Alison Rd turnoff, through Kensington Shops, and the university campus will soon come up on the left.
Some parking is available on nearby streets, but watch the signs carefully. Some spots are unlimited on weekends, but some have 1 hour limits. For those prepared to pay, parking is also available in the campus.
Several bus routes from the city take you down Anzac Parade – frequent buses are available from Eddy Ave at Central Station or on Elizabeth St.

The Weather Forecast
Fine, but slightly cooler than the warmish conditions we’ve had this week.
The Bureau of Meteorology forecasts - Partly cloudy. Winds southwesterly 15 to 20 km/h turning westerly 15 to 25 km/h during the day. Minimum 13, maximum 21.
Our Opponents
North Shore have never won at Bruce Purser, but the changed landscape of Sydney footy gives the Bombers their best chance of breaking the Bruce Purser hoodoo. With Sydney Hills playing in the NEAFL, our Premier Division will be taking on their reserves. As the divisional structure in Sydney footy has shown over the last few years, senior teams have usually had the edge over reserves teams.
Our Bombers side is coming in on the back of a three-game winning streak. Last week the Bombers were very impressive as they easily accounted for Wests, and if that form can continue this week, a strong performance can see the Bombers emerge from Bruce Purser with the points.
Online Coverage
Live score updates will appear on the North Shore website during the day on Saturday. After the games, detailed scorecards and photo galleries will be uploaded.
Our Next Social Event
Just one week to go till 19 May, when we are having a masquerade cocktail function at the Crows Nest Hotel.
The Crowie have given us our own private room for the night, and cocktail food will be served throughout. Drinks will be at bar prices.
The night will start at 7pm and entry is $20 at the door. Tickets will also be sold at Thursday night dinner or game day Saturday for $15. The dress code is cocktail, which means no jeans or t-shirts. Masks are essential!
Under 18s are welcome to attend, and are encouraged to do so. They will be provided a wristband at the door and must be accompanied by an adult. Please bear in mind that the Hotel would like all under 18 patrons to leave by 10pm.
As always, please remember to bring your sponsorship card and use it when making purchases at the bar.
