The Avoca FNC congratulates one of our own in Joe Rayner for taking out the ‘2012 Master Builders State Apprentice of the Year Award –
President’s Award’
Jeffrey Constructions are delighted to announce their 4th Year Apprentice, Joseph Rayner
was last night awarded the most prestigious
‘2012 Master Builders State Apprentice of the Year Award – President’s Award’
. A crowd of 700 guests attended the State Awards Ceremony which was held at
The Sebel Albert Park, Melbourne where the MBAV recognise and award Victoria’s elite apprentices.
Former AFL footballer Luke Darcy hosted the evening with guest speaker Peter Hall, Minister for Higher Education and Skills also attending.
The ‘State President’s Award’ is bestowed by the President of the Master Builders Association of Victoria, Mr Hedley Davis. This year there were 7 nominees for the award. The list of nominees consisted of those apprentices who received a Chairman’s Award in their region and also those metropolitan based apprentices that the judges chose to be nominated. This award is presented to an apprentice who has shown diligence and commitment to completing their chosen trade.
This award also encourages and supports the determination the apprentice has shown in both the trade schooling and on-site work performance. The Master Builders Association of Victoria is proud to reward these qualities.
This win comes off the back of Joseph’s success in March where he was presented with the Chairman’s Award for the Ballarat Section. Joseph describes his latest win as a shock and is very humble about his achievements, excellence and determination. He was quick to thank his employers Stewart and Naomi, fiancée Emily, and parents Robert & Kaylene who have supported him throughout his apprenticeship.
Joseph has been employed by Jeffrey Constructions Pty Ltd since October 2008 and was nominated by his employers Stewart & Naomi. Joseph has and continues to show exceptional levels of dedication, knowledge and enthusiasm toward his work and the industry. Joseph has completed his trade schooling through the University of Ballarat and had the support of teaching staff in attendance also.
Jeffrey Constructions sincerely congratulate Joseph on this richly deserved win. To be selected amongst Victoria’s top apprentices is an enormous achievement and outstanding reward for the tireless efforts by both apprentice and employer.
