Coach’s Comment: They had the intensity and are a finals side. We looked unorganised. I’ll watch the video and I know we will bounce back next week.
Summary: After a win last week our boys headed to Balwyn in anticipation of another good performance. As we know a week is a long time in football and unfortunately today Balwyn to their credit completely outplayed us in all facets of the game. Balwyn’s midfielders cut a swathe through our back and forward lines and set up numerous inside 50’s and scoring opportunities. They also did their homework on our key playmakers who were unable to exert any influence on the game. The most disappointing thing about our performance today was apart from our 3rd quarter where we played our best football we were never in the game and were unable to control our own destiny. After the game the players were extremely disappointed and embarrassed by their performance. Rest assured I know there is enough pride in our group and deep down they will do everything possible to redeem themselves against East Burwood next week.
