The Lismore Swans produced a solid performance for 3 quarters in Saturdays Grand Final rematch against the Tweed Coast Tigers matching them in every department however the Swans faded away in the final term to end up with a very disappointing result.
The Swans had the edge over their opponents up until 3 quarter time driving the ball forward repeatedly and putting plenty of defensive and tackling pressure. Scores were tied at the first break, Lismore up by 5 points at half time and 16 points at the final break however a couple of injuries to Swans players early in the final term plus the Tigers key players stepping up and the Swans lead and the game rapidly slipped out of the Swans hands.
Best on the day were Angus Legoe, Rhys Lavery, Morgan Hindry, Kael Herman, Daren Moncrieff, and Scott Brown.
Dean Webb and Simon Howard kicked 2 each while singles were kicked by Scott Brown, Wesley Seewald and George Massa.
The Swans have a week off to regroup with rep footy next weekend before they take on Bond Uni at home.
