It’s a Super Saturday of footy at Gore Hill, a feast for the footy fan. Four games back to back, all of our teams at home.
Saturday’s Schedule
8:30am – Under 18s v Wests
10:30am – Division 4 v Gosford
12:30pm – Division 1 v Wests
2:30pm – Premier Division v Wests
The canteen will be open all day, with a range of hot and cold food, snacks and drinks to quench your hunger and thirst. Proceeds go to the club.
If you are able to spare some time to help out on the canteen or BBQ, it would be muchly appreciated. Please report to Liz Fitzgerald or Alan Lees at the ground.
Umpiring Round
The AFL has themed this weekend “umpiring round”, when we recognise the contributions made by the umpires to our game. It’s a thankless job, and while they may make the odd call we don’t agree with, we don’t notice that most of the time they get it right. We thank the umpires for their efforts – without them, there wouldn’t be a game.

Match Preview
Our senior team, on the back of two wins, have moved into the top 5; and this week gives us an opportunity to consolidate that position. This week we take on Wests. The Magpies are looking for their first win of 2012, and were well beaten by Balmain at their last start – they will be hungry and will play some tough footy. But with a solid team effort, there’s a good opportunity for the Bombers to extend their winning streak to three games and keep themselves in the top half of the ladder.
After the Game
All players, officials and supporters are invited to join us in the clubhouse after the game for a short after-match presentation. The best on ground for each of our teams will be named; and you’ll be able to hear coach Jon Hayres’ reflections on the afternoon’s action.
Online Coverage
Live score updates will be uploaded onto the North Shore website during the day.
Later in the weekend, check out the Photo Gallery tab on the website to see some snaps of the big game day action.
Our Next Big Social Event – Saturday 19th May. Save the date.
On 19 May we are having a masquerade cocktail function at the Crows Nest Hotel. The Crowie have given us our own private room for the night, and cocktail food will be served throughout. Drinks will be at bar prices.
The night will start at 7pm and entry is $20 at the door. Tickets will also be sold at Thursday night dinner or game day Saturday for $15. The dress code is cocktail, which means no jeans or t-shirts. Masks are essential!
As always, please remember to bring your sponsorship card and use it when making purchases at the bar.
